London Landmark receives Secured Environments Award
Lloyd’s has set the standard as the first London landmark to be awarded with the Secured Environments accreditation. Lloyd’s underwent a thorough audit of their security processes and procedures. A key challenge for the site in Lime Street, London, a 14 floored, Grade 1 listed office building, is to maintain a safe working environment and ensure the security of sensitive information – something which cannot be achieved without understanding the potential security risks and acting to mitigate them.
Jack Kent, Head of Property Services, Lloyd’s, commented:
“I have gained great comfort from an independent assessment of our security by experts such as Professor Martin Gill at Perpetuity Research, to a standard set by the Association of Chief Police Officers, that raises our game in a world of ever increasing threats. The Secured Environments Award is a significant step for Lloyd’s and validates our approach over the past few years of identifying and closing the loopholes we had. I am delighted we have won this award and would like to thank our security team from VSG for their collaborative approach in making it happen.”
