Announcing the launch of the new Secured Environments website
We’re excited to announce that the new and refreshed Secured Environments website is now live. We have a fresh new appearance and layout, some additional content for members (registered organisations working towards the accreditation) but the same great content on how the accreditation works. Secured Environments is a police certification scheme, which is awarded to organisations that are able to show that they have adopted key principles for protecting themselves against crime. Organisations currently accredited include shopping centres, universities, a London landmark and a hospital, with more organisations working towards it. The award has been pursued by organisations for a number of reasons including to:
- Show commitment to staff and customers that the organisation takes crime seriously
- Recognise the importance customers place on security
- Review security processes
- Increase efficiency of existing security measures
- Save money by reducing inefficient security costs
- Recognise the good work undertaken by staff in relation to securing the organisation
