Smoking cessation work with Looked After Children

Perpetuity is currently conducting an evaluation of work undertaken in one local area, to support Looked After Children living in residential care homes, to stop smoking. Care home staff face a number of difficulties in enforcing no smoking rules to provide smoke-free environments for young people, and therefore the service are keen to develop their understanding of the value and the difficulties of work with this group, in order to target future work. The small scale evaluation will include consultation with key staff and analysis of a targeted questionnaire focusing on the impact of the work to date.
