Leicester Student Awards Nominee
We are proud to say that our graduate intern Rob Humphries was nominated for an award from Leicester University. He was up for the graduate internship of the year category, and although he did not win he did very well to make the shortlist against some very tough competition. Rob has been working as a Graduate Research Assistant with Perpetuity since the beginning of March. He graduated from Leicester University in July 2013 with a BA (Hons) in English, this internship is his first experience of office work and he is enjoying the Perpetuity environment.
Rob says ‘I have really enjoyed my internship, it has been great to be involved with and responsible for different things such as helping out with reports, assisting with research, developing the website and general administration. The culture here is entrepreneurial that is for sure, we are all encouraged to generate ideas, it is exciting and a challenge. It also helps to be surrounded by people who are always happy to offer help and guidance and contribute to a refreshing working environment. Compared to previously working shifts in retail I much prefer having a structured routine’.
The awards night itself was a great event held at the Leicester Student’s Union with a three course meal and entertainment. Rob says that ‘despite the disappointment it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening and it was good to be shortlisted on what was a tough category’.
